Jeff & Jourdan’s timeless Philadelphia wedding was beautiful and full of so much love. I love these two and their families are incredible, but let me tell you a little story about the wedding day itself.
Weeks ahead of time we got a photo permit for one of my favorite portrait spots in Philly and the forecast leading up to the day was perfect. Clear skies and comfortable temps even for late August. THEN. I wake up on the wedding day and out of NOWHERE a virtually nonexistent chance of rain turned into a full-on rainy day.
Brianne, the coordinator, sent me a text of rain- friendly backup places and I *drained* the Northern Liberties Target of all of their clear umbrellas (big bridal party).. aaaaand then I get to the hotel and Jeff + Jourdan couldn’t be calmer. Last-minute we decided to do portraits at Head House Square: where they got engaged + took engagement pictures. It was beautiful, meaningful, covered from the rain, and the skies cleared up long enough to take five-minute portraits in front of City Hall, too. No one really prays for a rainy wedding day but I’m really thankful the weather threw us a curveball on this one.
